Last Thursday, our CEO Marijn Deurloo had the pleasure of participating in the Sanoma Media Parade, a yearly conference that offers a unique look into the Dutch media world. Besides offering a range of interesting workshops and featuring a great line-up of speakers, the event proved to be an ideal place to discuss the evolution of publishing.
The panel we participated in, moderated by Erwin Blom and Roeland Stekelenburg from Fast Moving Targets, brought us together with Dutch serial entrepreneur Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten (The Next Web) to discuss the future of magazines. Monetization models, best practices for iPad publishing and the importance of metrics were some of the topics we addressed in our discussion. Another emerging theme was the challenges publishers face when building content experiences for Android, a subject we will soon address in another blog post!
